During our 2025 site visits, we are working in several cities across Spain, addressing unique architectural challenges with innovative approaches and carefully selected materials. Continued below are some of the construction systems we are currently developing.
Seville: Metal Structure for Large Spans and Green Space Support
In Seville, we faced the challenge of covering large spans efficiently and stably, while also providing planting spaces for trees in an interior courtyard, with habitable spaces underneath. To achieve this, we opted for a metal structure with large-depth box beams placed in pairs. This solution allows us to achieve wide dimensions without compromising the project’s strength or aesthetics. This system not only offers lightweight and fast execution but also provides planting spaces with a significant depth of topsoil to accommodate trees in the building’s interior courtyard.
Ávila: Restoration of 16th-Century Vaults
In Ávila, we are working on the restoration of a historic building featuring brick vaults and lime mortars dating back to the 16th century. Intervening in such structures requires profound respect for the original technique, combining traditional methods with contemporary solutions to ensure durability. Our goal is to preserve the architectural essence of the palace while improving its functionality and structural safety.
Comillas: Masonry Walls and Lime Mortar
We are engaged in a project that emphasizes traditional masonry wall construction and lime mortar-coated facades. This system not only offers high aesthetic value and harmonious integration with the environment but also provides excellent thermal and breathability performance, improving indoor comfort and reducing environmental impact.
Madrid: Sports Centers with Mixed Solutions
We are developing two sports center projects with distinct construction and usage approaches. On one hand, a new-build facility with a metal structure that allows for fast and efficient execution, ideal for large open spaces. On the other hand, we are working on the rehabilitation of a rationalist building, where we aim to recover the essential elements and materials from its era, preserving and enhancing systems that remain in good condition and support the building’s use. Additionally, we are restoring and reinstating the sporting function of this space, which had been out of use for some time.
